Extent of compliance with requirements
This website is not yet fully compliant with the accessibility regulations applicable to us.
On the product detail pages at www.wolfcraft.com/products the following content is currently not fully accessible:
- Some downloadable documents may not be accessible. These files are being reviewed and will be replaced as soon as possible.
- Alternative texts for images in the product carousel are redundant.
- The “Spare Parts” tab contains exploded diagrams showing individual spare parts for a product. These diagrams lack meaningful ALT text.
- The mobile version of the navigation on the product detail pages does not function correctly. Using the keyboard may result in layout shifts. Screen readers can sometimes access hidden navigation entries. A technical solution to this issue is not possible in the current system. We recommend using the desktop version of the website.
- Some page sections are inadequately labelled or not used appropriately, which can impair quick navigation.
- In some cases, ARIA labels or other elements are missing translations, causing screen readers to read out content in English only.
In addition, our Careers Portal is currently not fully accessible. We are already working with the portal provider to resolve this and aim to make the platform fully accessible as soon as possible.
Evaluation method
The accessibility audit is based on the BIK BITV test procedure. This method assesses compliance with the German Accessibility in Information Technology Ordinance (BITV 2.0), as amended in 2019, as well as the European standard EN 301 549 and the six new criteria of WCAG 2.2. The 104 test criteria of the BITV test are detailed in the BIK BITV testing steps directory. The BITV test evaluation is aligned with that of the WCAG test and thus complies with the new conformity requirements of the BITV.
Further measures
We are continuously striving to improve the accessibility of our website. At present, we are taking the following steps:
- We are working to make the product detail pages fully accessible and plan to migrate them to a new system as soon as possible.
- We are in close contact with our service provider to ensure that our careers portal will be fully accessible in the near future.
