History

Looking for the better solution right from the start!

In the beginning there was the demand for continuous improvement of tools and equipment. In the course of the last 70 years our methods and technologies have always adapted to the changing requirements.

However, our goals have remained the same until today: The development and improvement of our products in order to offer end customers innovative solutions and lasting benefits for their projects. 


Historie 1949–today

2020

Award from the German Design Council: wolfcraft is one of the major German brands 2020.  

The production areas in Slovakia are expanded and the construction of a new logistics hall in Kempenich begins. 

2019

Start of the expansion of the production area Slovakia. 

Award from the German Design Council: wolfcraft is one of the major German brands for 2020.   

2018

wolfcraft opens a new training center in Weibern.

2017
wolfcraft wins the German Brand Award.

2016
The production plant in Slovakia is expanded and in Kempenich the new logistics hall with approx. 4,000 square meters and 5,000 pallet spaces is inaugurated.t.

2012

The International Hardware Fair, in cooperation with the BHB (Bundesverband Deutscher Heimwerker-, Bau- und Gartenfachmärkte e.V.), awards the Sustainability Prize for sustainable corporate management.

2011

wolfcraft is establishing itself as the "best-known DIY brand for hand tools" (Institut für Freizeitwirtschaft GmbH, Efficient marketing for DIY customers, Munich, 2010 and 2012).

2008

With the "Laminate" and "Drywall" project groups, complete wolfcraft home improvement ranges are offered for the first time.

2003

The TS 800 trolley is the worldwide entry into the market for transport systems.

1998

The one-handed clamp sets new standards on the market.

1995
Kempenich becomes the new company headquarters with new administration building.

1992

The new logistics centre for Europe is opened in Kempenich.

1990
A second production facility is being built in Slovakia.

1989
wolfcraft internationalizes and founds its own subsidiaries in France, Great Britain and Italy.

1986
"variotec", the first wolfcraft machine table, is positioned on the market.

1982
With Reinhard and Thomas Wolff the second generation takes over the management of the company.

1976
The new central warehouse in Kempenich is inaugurated. 

1973
Als eines der ersten Unternehmen in Deutschland wird für die Mitarbeiter ein Gewinnbeteiligungsmeodell eingeführt. 

1972
wolfcraft presents its first drill rig generation and becomes the market leader in this segment.

1965
wolfcraft moves from Remscheid to Weibern.

1961
The first tools for do-it-yourselfers are introduced to the market under the name "wolfcraft".

1949

Company founded in Remscheid by the trained toolmaker and technical draughtsman Robert Wolff (* 28 January 1921 in Remscheid; † 2 March 2010).
